Below is a link to a video on YouTube that Mark did a couple of years ago. It shows him doing his favourite thing, dancing to Northern Soul...enjoy.

Thats never Beau Bridges...no wonder he doesnt show his top half...its probably an extra from Lord of the Dance.... wearing Beau's socks!!.. :-)
ReplyDeleteReminded me the first time I ever saw Beau dance a routine like that..It was a Tuesday night in Saturdays c.1984/85 after afternoons. The A Relief would be out for the night, few beers and a curry, just to kill time before returning at 4:30 a.m.for a rest day PSU to sunny Wigan...Pits like Golborne,Bickershaw,Parkside and Sutton Manor all feared the Manchester lot.Probably because we turned up smelling of stale ale, curry, and just stood their trying to do Beau's moves in full uniform, with the add on move of wafting our hands near our backside.....Keeping the Faith.Mike Duggan.
ReplyDeleteGood Post Wendy
ReplyDeleteLet her go - Otis Smith if I rember correctly.
Excellent northern tune. Like myself Mark loves his northern soul and it looks like he's having a good old dance there, I gave up trying to spin a long time ago !!.
Wigan, Blackpool, the Wheel, all good memories.
Keep on Keepin on
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Tim, Bernie and Edward.
I think the last time I saw Beau move that fast was when I walked into the area office one day and said I needed help on a job. I've never seen an office empty so quickly, although I think both Monty & Butty pipped Beau to the door!
ReplyDeleteThere's no denying he's a good dancer although my kids would say it's a typical Dad dance at a wedding! Great to see you and family and all the old faces last Thursday. Best wishes..Jeff T.

ReplyDeleteThere's no way any dad I've seen at a wedding can dance like that pure class but the socks!
Another BSPS story involving John Sinclair.
John had a Ford Escort in the 80/90's but upon realising that nobody ever travelled in the back, he became I believe the pioneer of the green party, in that he actually removed the rear speakers.I think he believed it would help petrol consumption!!
Another one re John was his coat and I mean his one coat. Don't think he changed the blue man at C@A jacket for over 10 years.
All the best Wendy, Beau and family hang in there mate.
Hey Beau, the dancing was firtst class, although I hear at the time you and your TAU team were actually conducting a search of the house you were dancing in.... I`m sure I saw the team brewing kit in the corner????

ReplyDeleteFantastic Post.
A ray of light on a grey day that brought a smile to our faces.
The routine is just how I remember it was in 1982, he hasn’t added one new move. Mind you when your that good who needs to.
Mat, thanks for the photos, great job.
Thinking of you and keeping the faith.
