Just a quickie...

Just a quick update for you all, Mark has had a torrid time of it over the last few days, but appears to be a little better. The sickness seems to be under control, as does the pain. He is quite demoralised, and still weak, but we're doing our best to keep his spirits up.
I'll keep you all updated again soon,
Wendy, Matt and Gracie xxx

  1. Hi Mark, Wendy, Matt and Gracie, I'm glad to hear you're feeling more comfortable today, I'm sorry i wasn't able to make the beer on Thursday.. (One of my most memorable nights out in Bolton was with your team, those vivid memories of you offering out sweets then you're dancing on the stage at a 70's disco themed night, borrowing a wig from one of the dancers before tripping(or)stage diving off.. you had others and me in stitches sat on the floor of the club!!) Since hearing the tragic news and being sent a link to you're blog, I've read through the brave blogs submitted by yourself and Wendy. You have a lot to feel proud about.. you have achieved more than most and there is no doubt you have made an impression on everyone mostly through laughter ( johnny english ) I'm working in bolton at the moment and if you would like a visit at the hospice let me know!! (i'm about to do a bike ride in aid of the hospice with members from the bolton div football unit tomorrow, though it may turn into a swim, looking at the weather). Thinking of you all Martin Kirby

  3. Dear Mark,
Hello my friend, you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. I hope you are feeling more comfortable and are able to spend precious and special moments with your family. What an amazing evening you had on Thursday, the courage and strength you would have needed shows what a tremendous and special bloke you are. I would like to say thank you for our friendship and all your support over the years. The best of times have been with you and your family over the years. I love the video 'soul feet', I loved dancing with you and of course the talcum powder. The parties, the picnics and the meals out were 'the best'. All very special memories, take care Mark, will keep you constantly in our prayers, love you,
    Caroline

  6. Dear Mark, well I came back from maternity leave today to the dreadful news of your illness, unusually for me I find I am lost for words - just so sad. I'm so sorry to have missed your night out, I didn't know about it or I would have been there - you know I like the odd pint ot two! I've looked at the pictures though and had a smile and a cry - your children look beautiful, no wonder you're so proud. I hope you are feeling ok today, my thoughts are with you and your family, love to you all, Katrina
