11.45hrs Monday 28th September 2009

Hello everybody,
this has to be truly the saddest day of our lives. Our lovely Mark left us today at 11.45 am. The people who meant most to Mark were all present. The only comfort that we can take, is that he is free from pain, and in a more beautiful place now.
Matthew and Gracie, as always, were a tower of strength, and their maturity and 'fantasticness' astound me.
Finally for now, a big thank you, and 'I love you' to Mark's family, my Dad and Anne, and to Andy and Vanessa for getting us through this awful day.
Mark 'Beau' Bridges, we loved you with all our hearts, and always will.
Wendy, Matthew and Grace xxxx

  12. Beau, your body now lies breathless, in quiet sleep.

We remember your life; we cry and weep.

    We barely exist, in sorrow and pain;

We mourn our loss, we seethe and complain...

But what would you want, if you were alive?

Would you want us to wallow, to merely survive?

Or would you want more? Perhaps our courage -

To reject our grief with its cruel bondage!

Let's honour you now and look forward - with
    hope,

Remembering your life while learning to cope,

With loss as a tool to sculpt our goals -

Not as an anchor that burdens our souls.

We will celebrate your life - reminisce with a grin!

Then Death will lose - and you will win!

    Bon voyage dear friend

Wendy, Mat, Gracie. our thoughts are with you all

  27. I transfered out of GMP some 12 years ago, but remember Beau well. I have been greatly saddened to learn of his illness and his subsequent passing. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
I will however chuckle when I remember his smiling face as he disappeared down a "core way" with a plate of chips for his refs.
    Keep smiling Beau.

  31. Wendy, Matthew, Gracie & family, please accept my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolence at Mark's passing away.

We never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

Beau’s life has given us tears,
    smiles and memories.
    The tears dry,
    the smile fades,
but the memories of this great man live on forever

It is an honour and a privilege to have known you Beau and to have shared part of life's rich tapestry with you.

    Rest in peace!

    God Bless, Paolo.
